Experiential Learning
Programmes based on the belief that in order to improve performance, it’s necessary to change behaviour.
In partnership with Eagles Flight – an award winning organisation that specialises in experiential learning – we design and run programmes to suit any number of participants for any occasion. Eagles Flight programmes combine immersive activities that mimic real-world challenges with a targeted debrief that connects the lessons with reality in the workplace. Participants learn by doing, not just by listening, reading, or watching.
The learning continues long after the training, often extending, not only to the workplace, but also into our families and off-work activities, such as charities we support or committees we sit on.
The 3 behaviour change stages participants will go through:
Heart
Participants must first ‘buy-in, be convinced that change is necessary; to know ‘why’ this matters. Without this mindset, change in behaviour will be difficult – if not impossible – to achieve.
Head
Having bought into the philosophy and the concepts, participants agree on ‘what’ needs to happen and ‘where’
Hands
Having confirmed the need for change and what needs to be done and where, participants need to be given the tools, of ‘how’ and ‘when’ to apply these changes to their behaviour back at work.
The impact of taking part in these experiential learning sessions can be truly transformational.
It can alter how we see world, how we interact with others, and how we approach out commitments.
At the end of one of our programmes – an offsite retreat in Phuket – the APAC CEO of a global commercial real estate agency stood up and announced that they would now need to completely scrap their intended strategy for the coming year, and start all over again. He also added that they should have attended the programme before starting their extensive planning discussions!
